FishriftDocs Dashboard

Quick start

Set up Fishrift for your first stream in about ten minutes. Each step links to the full guide.

1. Connect your platforms

Sign in at fishrift.com with Twitch. Then open Account and connect Kick, YouTube and Ko-fi if you use them. Fishrift combines everything into one activity feed, one chat and one set of alerts.

2. Make your first overlay

  1. Open Overlays and press Create overlay.
  2. Give it a name and pick the size of your stream, for example 1920 × 1080.
  3. In the editor, press Add rift and add an Alert Box. It comes with eight ready-made alerts for follows, subs, resubs, gift subs, cheers, raids, donations and hype trains.
  4. Press OBS URL and then Copy.

Read more in Overlays.

3. Add it to OBS

  1. In OBS, add a Browser Source.
  2. Paste the URL and set the width and height to the size of your overlay.
  3. Press OK. Your overlay is live.

Heads up: keep your overlay URL private. Anyone who has it can open your overlay.

4. Test an alert

Press EMULATE in the editor, pick an alert, fill in a test name and press Fire Test Alert. Turn on Send to OBS too to see it in OBS. See Alerts.

5. Turn on the chatbot

Open Bot and switch the bot on. Built-in commands like !uptime, !followage and !socials work right away. Add your own commands with variables like {user} and {count deaths}.

6. Open the chat dock

Add https://fishrift.com/chat-dock to OBS as a custom browser dock (Docks menu, Custom Browser Docks). You get your Twitch, Kick and YouTube chat in one place, with quick actions and alert queue controls. See Chat and docks.
