Permissions and cooldowns

Every command has a permission level, two cooldowns, a cost and a reply style.

Permission levels

Higher levels can always use commands meant for lower levels.

When a viewer doesn't have permission, the bot stays silent.

Managers and Supermods

Managers and Supermods are roles you give in Fishrift. They rank above platform mods and work on every platform the person has linked to their Fishrift account.

Regulars

Add Regulars on the Roles tab, under Settings > Users, or in chat with !addreg name and !removereg name.

One viewer, every platform

When a viewer links their accounts in Fishrift, they keep their highest level everywhere. A mod on Twitch is also treated as a mod on Kick.

Custom roles

On the Roles tab you can make your own role: a name, a list of members and a level it sits at. A command set to that role works for its members and for everyone at or above its level.

Cooldowns

  • Global cooldown: after anyone uses the command, nobody can use it again for this many seconds.
  • User cooldown: after a viewer uses the command, that viewer has to wait this many seconds.

Cooldowns go from 0 to 3600 seconds. New commands start with 5 seconds global and 15 seconds per user. A command on cooldown stays silent.

Cost

A command can cost loyalty points, up to 1,000,000. The cost is taken before the bot answers. A viewer without enough points gets:

DaveL, you need 50 Fishcoins to use this command. You have 20.

Online and offline

Under Show advanced, pick when the command works: online and offline, online only or offline only. A blocked command doesn't start its cooldown and costs nothing.

Say or reply

  • Say posts the response as is.
  • Reply puts @DisplayName in front of it.

The answer goes to the platform the command came from. !setgame and !settitle announce on every platform where the change worked.
