Subathon timer

A Subathon Timer counts down, and subs, gift subs, tips, bits, raids and channel point rewards add time. Add it from Add rift > Engagement.

Running it

Start, pause, resume, add time, set the multiplier and end the subathon from the activity dock or your Stream Deck. The timer keeps running when OBS reloads.

End mode

ModeHow it works
Duration + extensionsStarts at a set time (default 2 hours) and events add to it. Set a maximum in hours so the timer never goes above it (0 is no maximum)
Fixed end dateCounts down to a date and time you pick. Events are counted but don't move the end

What adds time

EventDefault
Tier 1 sub5 minutes
Tier 2 sub10 minutes
Tier 3 sub20 minutes
Resub2 minutes (turn Count resubs off to skip resubs)
Gift subsThe sub time of that tier, for every gifted sub
Raid10 seconds per raider
TipMinutes per 1 unit of your currency
BitsMinutes per 100 bits
Channel point rewardsMinutes you set per reward

Tips and bits

Tips and bits count in proportion, so smaller amounts add part of the time. With €1 = 2 minutes and 100 bits = 1 minute:

GivenAdds
€1020 minutes
€0.501 minute
100 bits1 minute
50 bits30 seconds

Every tip counts: Ko-fi tips, external donations, YouTube Super Chats and Twitch charity donations.

Channel point rewards

Add as many rewards as you like, each with its own minutes. Only those rewards add time. Renaming a reward on Twitch doesn't break it. You need to be a Twitch Affiliate or Partner.

Multiplier

Set a multiplier from the dock or Stream Deck, like x2 for a happy hour. Every extension is multiplied, channel point rewards too. Above x1 the overlay shows a pulsing MULTIPLIER badge.

Time is only added while the subathon runs, or while it is paused with time left. Time added during a pause waits until you resume.

How it looks

  • Added time counts up smoothly instead of jumping. 10 minutes takes about 3 seconds, 10 hours about 6 seconds, and nothing takes longer than 7 seconds. Several adds in a row join into one climb.
  • A green +time pops up above the timer showing what was added.
  • When the time runs out it shows SUBATHON ENDED.

Colours

PausedOrange

Under 10 minutesRed, pulsing

Pick your own colour for each. The low time colours can be switched off. Add a label (default SUBATHON) with its own colour, and choose the font, size and weight.

Reliable counting

Each event adds its time once, even when a platform sends it twice, and busy moments like channel point spam or a gift bomb don't lose time.
